We have many glowing reviews and regularly receive positive feedback. One avenue of feedback we value is via Trip Advisor. Trip Advisor is growing rapidly and is becoming the focal point for consumer research in booking hotels and restaurants around the world. One of the key elements for us is that it allows us to interact with reviewers. We are currently ranked 5th as many of the other local hotels have existed in the town for longer than than the two years we have been open for. Obviously, a benchmark for us, is to achieve 1st place and maintain it. Stayed here on 12/11/11 for my birthday, had a standard room was great loved the trendy decor!!!! The staff were great very helpful and kept the drinks flowing, The bed was fantastic and the black out curtains done just the trick!!!! Met the owner who come over and wished me a happy birthday and a birthday drink very nice touch!!! Breakfaast was lovely made the full english with the changes i asked for with no problem.. Will be going back no question!!!! the baby grand piano was something a little different sounded superb.... Thanks to all at the icon and see you again soon, dom

The Famous Icon Hotel

The Icon Hotel Luton is now heading into a very busy period as we rapidly approach Christmas and the festive season.October was a great month for the hotel as we were again fully booked for a high proportion of the month. We also staged a Pink Pamper Party in aid of Breast Cancer Research on the evening of 23rd October 2011 which around 50 people attended.

The Icon has also become a hub for filming and celebrities. We welcomed an actor who was filming locally in a new Mike Newell film, we had the film crew from Come dine with me and this week we had the pleasure of welcoming Michael Katsidis and his team stay with us. Michael Katsidis will be challenging for the WBO World Lightweight title with Ricky Burns at Wembley Arena on Saturday the 5th November 2011. We wish him all the best in the future!

Dont forget there is still availability for Christmas Lunches, Parties and Buffets in December. Some dates are now sold out but places are still available on various day/evenings.

Good afternoon all, I hope you all had a good summer, autumn and winter are rapidly approaching. Many media sources say winter and snow will be here as early as October! Lets hope it does not bring to much chaos like normal!

The Icon Hotel Luton has had a great summer. We had an extremely busy July and hit high levels of bedroom occupancy throughout the month. August was more as forcasted with high occupancy during the weekends and an average occupancy during the weekdays. The school summer holidays have a direct impact on occupancy and this year was no different. We did use that time wisely and made some nice additions to the hotel and carried out some maintenance works. This included a new stair well in the 3 wing block, signed football shirts in the gym and framed prints in the corridors. All look very nice! September has no been with us for a few weeks and since the school holidays our occupancy is sky high and we have been fully booked on  many occasions.

We will be ending September with our ABBA tribute in Cappello's Restaurant. Ticket prices are £25 for the show and a buffet. We also have some fantastic ticket, buffet and accommodation packages are also available. Call 01582 722123 to book your place before all of the tickets go....

I hope everyone's summer has got off to the perfect start! The Icon Hotel Summer season certainly has. We have been fully booked for 3 consecutive weeks now and we have welcomed over 1,000 guests to our luxury bedrooms during this period. Some of those guests were in the local area for a Take That concert, a Foo Fighters concert and also for the British Grand Prix. The Icon Hotel is a great place to stay if you are attending a large concert or local event. We will always pre book taxis for guests who require onward travel to other locations.

Our new Park and Fly and Meet and Great services are well under way and they have proved hugely popular. We certainly provide the perfect solution for getting your trip of to the perfect start and end.

We will be getting our Christmas brochures printed very soon so please send us your details if you would like one sent to you directly first! We have a number of events across the week for the four weeks prior to Christmas day and we feel there is something for everyone. Email events@iconhotelluton.com for more information. We also have ABBA (30th September), our Italian Gala Dinner (8th October) and Elvis (11th November) in the near future and bookings are still being taken.

Summer

Good afternoon all. Summer commenced this week and the Icon Hotel and Cappellos Restaurant are fully prepared for a great one! Our terrace is now open and we have just launched our Park and Fly and Meet and Greet service to Luton Airport. Within days we have picked up many bookings for these packages and we are very excited about their future. The rates are very low and is the equivalent of £5.00 per day for airport parking. The prices fluctuate depending on how long you stay so visit www.iconhotelluton.com for the lowest prices.

Fathers day was a great success. We had many families join us for the day last Sunday. If you could not be with us then we hope you had a good time also. The next scheduled event is our ABBA tribute in September! Prices start at £25 for ticket only but we also have some accommodation packages also available.

The Icon welcomes a new team of staff next week who will be joining the housekeeping department. They are experienced and highly proven so we look forward to maintaining the high standards associated with the Icon. If you have time over the weekend, come and visit us, we look forward to welcoming you!

June

At the beginning of June we were pleased to announce the ABBA and Elvis packages. ABBA will be at Capello's on 30th September 2011 and Elvis will return on 11th November 2011. Both shows will start at 19.30 and prices for the show and buffet are £25.00 per person. Room, show and buffet options are available and packages start from only £90. The hotel has been very busy Monday to Friday for bedrooms and lunches again. We have recently reintroduced Sunday Lunches to our weekend schedule and this is gradually picking up. This Sunday welcomes Fathers Day and it will be an exciting day at the hotel. Remember we only opposite the Mall Shopping Centre so why not combine lunch or a coffee with your shopping trip this weekend.

The first post of many weekly updates!

May was an excellent month for the Icon Hotel in terms of the hotel being busy. The 59 bedrooms we fully booked for several nights over the last two weeks and all other nights were at the least very busy. We welcomed back Elvis on the 19th May for a brilliant night of comedy and music. His shows have been terrific and Alvin has built a great relationship with our guests. So much so that we have already rebooked him for November! This time he will perform on a Saturday evening and we are currently formulating bedroom and buffet packages. We are also in the final stages of organising an ABBA tribute night and an audience with evening with a top celebrity! Details will be revealed in due course and we will have a range of excellent value packages for these events. Cappello's is beginning to turn a good corner as the lunch time trade is getting busy. The introduction of a panini and soft drink for £5 and the express lunch for £16.95 have proved widely popular.
